Your tasks:

Your responsibilities:
- Labeling of samples
- Weighing of food and cosmetic products

- Completed training as a laboratory assistant (BTA), chemical laboratory technician (CTA), medical laboratory technician (MTA) or career changer with understanding of hygiene and fine motor skills
- Precise and fast working method

Food Chemist / Natural Scientist (m/f/d)
Your tasks as a member of our customer consulting team:
- Consulting and support of our customers on microbiological and chemical laboratory results as well as in the areas of hygiene and quality control
- Technical assessment of laboratory results
- Active communication with directly assigned customers
- Preparation of offers, statements, and expert opinions
- Conducting hygiene inspections, training courses, and sampling
Your profile:
- A completed natural science degree, e.g. food chemistry (preferably state-certified), biology, microbiology, biotechnology, food technology, ecotrophology
- Knowledge of microbiology and chemistry
- Experience in the food industry and food law is an advantage
- Customer orientation, communicative nature, independent working style, willingness to work hard, initiative, and flexibility.

THE BAV INSTITUTE
Working together for safe and high-quality food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical products
For 25 years, we have been testing the products of over 3,000 food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical companies for quality and safety. This makes an important contribution to consumer protection, as BAV-tested products can be found in every household.
We are an accredited contract laboratory and offer our customers services related to hygiene and quality control. In addition to laboratory analysis, we specialize in practical consulting and training services. As a member of Tentamus Laboratories, we also offer a wide range of microbiological and chemical analysis from a single source.
Our motto of „fast and reliable“ is always our top priority. We have established 24-hour rapid methods for almost all testing parameters. Using an internally developed RT-PCR method called „Tenta-Speed L.mono“, the pathogen Listeria monocytogenes can even be detected in food in just 6 hours. The MALDI-TOF method is also used daily to quickly and safely identify bacteria and yeasts within minutes.
